KK DOUGHHH
Sourdough Baking Classes in Denver, Colorado
Class Types
Okay, first of all — if you’ve ever thought,
“I really want to learn sourdough but it feels intimidating???”
This class is for you!!
My group classes are 2-hour, hands-on workshops where I walk you through the entire sourdough process in a way that actually makes sense. We’ll talk starters, mix dough, shape loaves, practice scoring, and go over baking tips so you feel confident doing it at home.
You don’t need to bring anything — I provide all the ingredients and tools. Just come ready to get your hands messy.
You’ll leave with:
-
Your own sourdough starter
-
A fresh loaf of bread
-
And the confidence to keep baking on your own
It’s relaxed, fun, and full of that “wait… this isn’t as scary as I thought??” energy.

-
Turn your home into a mini bakery for the afternoon with a private sourdough session tailored to your group. Over two hours, you’ll learn how to keep a starter thriving and transform simple ingredients into beautifully baked loaves, with time set aside to share fresh bread at the end. Everything needed is brought to you, and everyone takes home a starter and their own loaf.

Designed for corporate gatherings and team events, this hands-on sourdough workshop offers a unique culinary experience for groups. Guests will learn the process of sourdough baking from starter care to shaping and scoring, then enjoy fresh bread together at the end of the class. All ingredients and tools are provided, and each participant takes home a sourdough starter and baked loaf.

Kaela's sourdough class is one of the best investments I’ve made in myself and my kitchen! I’ve never baked, let alone attempted sourdough and in two hours I left with skills, knowledge, and community. She covers every step, answers every question, provides recipes and recommendations for tools that are proven trustworthy at altitude. I’m so thankful I took her class (so is my husband) I haven’t bought bread since!

I had the best time taking Kaela’s sourdough class! There was a perfect balance of fun and silliness, yet very educational at the same time. Kaela made learning about sourdough approachable and not intimidating! I feel more confident in my skills and have continued to experiment with sourdough months after the course. I’d recommend Kaela and her classes to anyone desiring to learn this process or want to enhance their skills!

This class was so incredibly helpful!! I went into it with zero baking experience. Kaela teaches you everything you need to know and the class atmosphere was so welcoming. I met some awesome girls and had a great time while learning a new skill! She also sends everyone home with their own loaf 🙌🏼 I can’t stop making my own sourdough bread now. 10/10 recommendation!

Kaela made signing up and attending her class easy. She was attentive, incredibly informative, and came prepared. I loved that we got two loaves to take home and the 90 year old starter has been key to making the best bread. Two months later, I’m doing inclusions like lemon blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and a rosemary focaccia. My friends and I had so much fun learning from Kaela because she made it less intimidating than what you see on the internet.

Kaela’s sourdough class was so fun and educational. She has such a natural way of teaching that makes the whole process feel really approachable, even if you’re totally new like I was. I left feeling so much more confident and finally understood how to actually bake sourdough on my own. It didn’t just stop there because I have continued baking at home and using what she taught us. I've even started making flavored breads! You can tell she really cares about what she’s doing and about the people in her classes. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about sourdough!

This sourdough class was both educational and fun! I brought my husband and we loved being able to learn every stage of the process. Kaela did an excellent job of preparing the stages of dough so that we could experience it all. I went home and immediately started making my own sourdough loaves which made me feel so proud!
- Kennidy
I absolutely LOVED Kaela’s class!!! It was so much fun, and she was an amazing teacher. The bread I’ve made since the class has been absolutely delicious, and I’m so happy I can finally make sourdough on my own. I went in knowing nothing about sourdough, and after Kaela’s class I can now do the whole process by myself! I couldn’t recommend this class enough!!!!
- Anna
I had such a wonderful experience in this sourdough bread making class! The environment was warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive, which made learning feel both comfortable and exciting. Kaela created a relaxed atmosphere where questions were encouraged and everyone felt included.
- Karen
You leave with a 100+ year-old starter (so cool) and a fresh baked loaf, which makes the experience feel even more tangible & exciting. What I appreciated most is how she simplifies the process—giving tips that make sourdough feel less intimidating and more doable. I left feeling more informed & excited, and honestly the second you meet Kaela you feel like you’ve made a new friend :,) 10/10—would totally recommend to anyone curious or intimated with making sourdough!

ABOUT ME
HI!! I’m Kaela and I’m so happy you’re here!
Since I was little, I’ve loved spending time in the kitchen. I remember getting an Easy-Bake Oven for Christmas and basically turning our basement into my own little “bakeshop.”
That love eventually led me to study culinary arts at Utah Valley University, where I spent even more time learning, experimenting, and falling deeper in love with baking.
I’ve taken what can feel like a complicated, two-day process and turned it into a simple, 2 hour hands-on class where I walk you through every step and share all the tips ’n’ tricks I’ve learned along the way.
Soon after, I started selling loaves to friends and family as a side hustle while finishing school. I’d spend all day baking at school and then come home and do it all over again.
Fast forward a few years and I’m still loving it!! After graduating, I started teaching sourdough classes because I saw how many people were interested but overwhelmed by the process.
My goal is to help you get past the “sourdough scaries” and realize it’s actually way more simple than it seems.
Warning!! This may ruin you. I haven’t bought bread from the grocery store since. I am now a certified bread snob….and not mad about it!
